RKS is a modern roller blinds system applied in newly erected buildings and mounted in three stages.
Installation of roller blinds based on this system is to be assumed on the building design works stage. It enables division of the whole rollers installation expenditures on three stages. In the course of the construction works, below the header, special boxes are mounted, and then, on the windows mounting stage, the guides are installed. After the construction works have been completed, at any time, the roller blind accessories can be installed. On the building façade, only the roller blind's armouring is visible.
Boxes are ready-made shaped pieces made of foamed polystyrene, reinforced with steel wires and used as the basic structural component of the RKS system. On double-sided plastering, they is completely unnoticeable. Thanks to the inspection cover closed from below, an easy access to the inside is possible in case of maintenance or installation of the roller blind.
The armouring and guides made of aluminium match every type of window joinery. Furthermore, the armouring guides can be plastered from the outside which increases safety and aesthetics of make, and on the other hand, the box is faced with the wall from the inside and closed from below with an inspection cover enabling access for the sake of the roller blind's maintenance.
3 stage installation:
- Stage 1 - box mounting - the most frequently applied solution is mounting of the box during erection of walls, simultaneously with construction of the window rim and heads. While the heads are being poured, due to the appropriate dovetails, the box and the head are permanently and rigidly joined together. An alternative, easier manner of the box installation is its mounting after the heads have been completed, prior to the window mounting. It requires leaving an appropriate space around the window, however, it does not ensure such rigidity of the joint as the standard solution.
- Stage 2 - installation of guides - roller guides are mounted on the window frame using special bolts and then, as a set, mounted in the window niche.
- Stage 3 - installation of accessories - the final stage of roller blinds installation can be performed after the external plastering and window sills mounting have been completed. This stage entails mounting of the roller armouring including the roll shaft and the driving unit (manual or electric) as well as closing of the box with the inspection cover.
